Unit 1 Reflection

  Unit 1 Reflection ______________________ For my curated source collection for Unit #1, I chose to have my sources focus on the idea of technological evolution and the way it influences or contributes to communication. The quality of my sources are efficient, as I believe that I chose a solid range from different reputable sources/authors. I used New York Times, Forbes, TedTalk, and a keynote presentation. I also made sure to include different time eras for a range of opinions/points of views regarding technology. To enhance my project, technology was actually quite beneficial. I needed to use my computer as well as an online blog platform to have somewhere to post my curated sources and other blogs.   Unit 1 Portfolio ______________________   Source Analysis #1 " A Pencil Shop, for Texting the Old-Fashioned Way " by Molly Young Digital Newspaper (New York Times) The New York Times article titled "A Pencil Shop for Texting the Old-Fashioned Way" by Molly Young explores the newfound use of old writing tools, such as pencils, in a modern age that is overtaken by technology, quick forms of communication, and electronic devices. Although digital communication is rapidly replacing traditional writing tools, the purpose of Young's text was to explore the ways that other forms such as pencils still manage to remain relevant.
